Hey Deborah, I'm not quite sure what you mean by “updates”? All Midjourney terms I've shared so far are equally applicable across all Midjourney versions, including V7. The visuals I provide here are for reference at the time I publish the posts, but they'll work equally well (and likely better) with future Midjourney versions. The most recent batch of Midjourney terms is from March this year, here: https://www.whytryai.com/p/best-midjourney-prompts-march-2025
Thanks for the quick response and for the link. I was seeing some differences in output between the versions and was wondering if there were newer tips you could advise.. Since I am a new subscriber I have lots to go through
To me, the underlying differences between different models (or versions of the same model) is where the beauty of text-to-image lies. As such, I recommend treating my Midjourney terms less as prescriptive, set-in-stone prompts and more as jump-off points for further exploration.
I always encourage people to take my Midjourney modifiers and try them in other models, and actually have just done so a few weeks ago myself - 5 of my favorite terms in 6 other models:
It's quite thorough. Some of it might be outdated since new website features have launched since then, but the fundamentals should still be very useful.
I love your blog, the ideas you present are amazing and very creative. You are doing a very good job Sir, keep it up!
I'm happy you find it useful, thanks for the kind words!
It's amazing to see the level of photorealism here compared to your older prompts - look how it aced that woman's hands with the vintage smartphone!
Yeah the hands took a giant leap forward in V5. Still occasionally off, but nothing like before!
When will there be some updates? Midjourney currently on v7
