Man, what a deep dive for anyone interested in trying this thing out! Here's the hundred dollar question: are you going to use this tool daily or regularly? Is it going to replace anything?

For me personally, it won't become a daily thing, simply because my image-related needs are pretty basic. It's mostly a "for fun" tool as I see it. I think you're likely in the same boat, since you get what you need out of chatting with ChatGPT.

But it's great for complete beginners who might be overwhelmed by text-to-image prompting and just want a simple interface for remixing images and applying styles.

Great point. I did get a chance to play w/the interface for a bit, and while it was kinda... dumb? in understanding the prompt, it was very intuitive to begin creating something. And, if I wasn't already immersed, I might well have been pulled in.

Tangentially, it is interesting to speculate about what might pull various types of folks in. I would assume everyone gets pulled in eventually, or they get left behind, but for nerds like us we were here pretty early. We are not.... erm, normal.

Don't ever change! I mean, change what you need to, just not this absurd part.
